Founder & President – Tropical Fruit Box

Desiree Morales is a food innovation executive with a background in produce sourcing, partner alignments, channel marketing, and e‐commerce in the U.S. grocery retail and foodservice industry. She founded Tropical Fruit Box in Fall 2019, bringing tropical and exotic fruits from all over the world right to customers’ doors.

Growing up in a Cuban American household, her kitchen was always filled with fresh avocados, mangos, yuca and other fruits and roots. Traveling the country, she observed the opportunity for on‐demand access to fresh tropical and exotic fruits that were not easily found locally. Her hope is that the produce she sources can nourish and bring families and friends together as it did hers.

A true visionary in the tropical and exotic fresh fruit category, Desiree collaborates with multigenerational, local family farmers in Florida, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean bringing the freshest, high‐quality tropical and exotic fruits and roots. A second‐generation family business associate herself, she rolled out Tropical Fruit Box as an online order and home delivery extension to her family’s nearly 40‐year business named WP Produce.
